Waterfront Regulations


Fuel

Diesel fuel and gasoline are available at the Boston Yacht Club Spring through late Fall.  See the Launch and Fuel Dock Hours of operation.

BYC members may charge fuel to their club number.

Fuel is available to visiting yachtsmen and must be purchased using a major credit card. American Express, MasterCard and Visa are accepted.

Ice

Ice in blocks or cubes is available at the BYC float.

Tie-up

Yacht tie-up is limited to the time required for loading/unloading passengers, or loading fuel.  Whenever other yachts are circling for similar dockside privileges, tie up is limited to that required time or to twenty (20) minutes, whichever is less.  If a situation is going to require an extension of this time limit, advance arrangements should be made with the dockmaster.

The dockmaster may impose special float use rules during regattas, cruise departures, or other special events.

Washdown

Washdown, maintenance or other extended tie-ups must occur ONLY during low activity times. Water hoses shall not be left "free running."  All hoses must be turned off.
